Can I use posting templates here?

Definitely, and it's highly encouraged. Posting templates are a great way to make your posts more visually appealing. We have both the Enhanced UBBC Table Tags and the Style Tags v2.1.2 installed on the site.

Do characters have to be in a herd?

No! Your characters can either join one of the five herds, or become a rogue. However, all characters must have an element. If you join a herd, your element is whichever element that herd represents. If you join as a rogue, you choose one element of the five.

How can I apply to be staff?

The brutal truth is that you can't. We do not believe in staff auditions; to be given the chance to be staff, you simply have to prove that you are trustworthy and responsible over time. There is no maximum on the number of staff members allowed, so we are always keeping an eye out for potentials! If you're really interested in helping out right now, though, send a message to September.

How many powers can a character have?

As many as you wish, as long as you buy them from the Champion's Market. There are many choices in powers and abilities that you can purchase. The exception is that you can only have one elemental power.

What does "epic" mean?

There is more than one definition for the word "epic," but the annotation we are using is: "A long film, book, poem, or other work portraying heroic deeds and adventures, usually covering an extended period of time."

What fonts are used on the site?

Verdana and Trajan Pro. If you do not use Google Chrome as your web browser, you may need to install Trajan Pro (a download is located here). We highly recommend doing this; it'll make Epic look a whole lot more appealing!

What is substance?

Substance is the site's currency, and is not associated with real money at all. You earn five substance for every post you make. You can also earn it through staff-held contests, earning awards, and sometimes it is given out as a gift.

What is substance used for?

You can use your substance in the Champion's Market to buy your character special powers, an animal companion, additions to their appearance, foal stats, and more.

Which web browser is best for viewing Epic?

Epic was created using Google Chrome, so if you use that browser, everything should look exactly as it's supposed to. We have not yet tested any other browsers.
